About Tim

Tim has been training dogs professionally for more than ten years, but his passion for understanding and working with dogs began long before that. In 2016, he completed a one year service animal training program through Little Angel Service Dogs in San Diego, California, strengthening his knowledge of canine behavior, communication, obedience, and the important role dogs play in people’s lives.

Tim’s training philosophy is best described as that of a Family Dog Mediator. He does not believe in a one size fits all approach. Every dog has a unique personality, history, temperament, learning style, and set of needs. Every family also has its own routines, goals, abilities, and challenges.

For that reason, Tim evaluates the complete picture, including the dog, family, home environment, daily habits, communication patterns, and interactions between family members and the dog. This allows him to create personalized training plans that are realistic, effective, and sustainable.

Tim uses a balanced, relationship based approach that combines positive reinforcement, encouragement, and meaningful rewards with clear structure, appropriate boundaries, consistent expectations, and practical guidance. His goal is to help dogs understand what is expected of them while helping their families communicate with greater clarity and confidence.

Every dog Tim works with is treated as if it were his own. He brings patience, compassion, respect, and genuine care to every training relationship. As someone who lives and works in the community, Tim is invested in helping local families build happier, more confident dogs and stronger relationships with their pets.

His training is designed for real homes and real life, not just controlled environments. Whether a family is working on obedience, household manners, leash skills, socialization, confidence, structure, or behavioral challenges, Tim provides practical guidance that can be maintained long after the training session ends.

Many former clients continue to stay in touch, refer friends and family, and use Tim’s boarding services. These ongoing relationships are among the most meaningful parts of his work. When one former client contacted him late at night during a medical emergency and had nowhere to leave their dog, Tim immediately picked up the dog and provided boarding for the week.

To Tim, caring for dogs means supporting both the animals and the people who love them. He understands how much joy a dog can bring to a family, as well as how overwhelming behavioral challenges can feel. His goal is to help families move beyond frustration so they can spend more time enjoying their dogs and less time feeling overwhelmed.

Tim is proud to be a friendly neighborhood dog trainer who brings experience, compassion, flexibility, and personalized care to every dog and family he serves.
