Absolutely. Owner involvement is one of the most important parts of a successful training program. Tim provides two days of follow up training in the home when your dog returns, helping your family understand how to continue practicing and reinforcing the skills your dog has learned.

Tim remains available for follow up questions, maintenance training, and continued support after the program is complete. He can also provide advanced training, including agility and more complex commands.
Follow up evaluations may be scheduled to assess how your dog and family are progressing and to make adjustments to the training plan when needed.

Yes. Tim regularly works with common behavioral concerns such as leash pulling, jumping, excessive barking, and destructive behavior. Training is customized to identify the underlying cause of the behavior and teach your dog more appropriate responses.

Yes. Tim frequently works with fearful, anxious, and reactive dogs. One important part of the process is helping the dog gradually become less sensitive to the people, animals, environments, or other stimuli that trigger anxious or reactive responses.

Yes. Dogs must be appropriately vaccinated before participating in training or boarding services. Tim prioritizes the health, safety, and well being of every dog in his care, as well as the safety of each client and their family.

Spaying or neutering is not required. However, a dog’s reproductive status may affect certain behaviors and can influence the difficulty or structure of training, particularly with some male dogs. These factors will be discussed during the initial evaluation.

Dogs considered for the board and train program must be healthy, fully vaccinated, current on flea, tick, and deworming medication, and able to safely participate in the program.
Every dog must also complete an initial evaluation to determine whether board and train is the right fit for their needs, temperament, behavior, and overall well being.

Dogs stay indoors in a comfortable environment equipped with heating and air conditioning. In most cases, dogs sleep in a crate at night as part of their crate training. Alternative arrangements may be discussed between the owner and trainer when appropriate.

A crate is not required. Tim has crates available in a variety of sizes for dogs participating in the board and train program.

Honesty and safety are always the priority. If Tim determines that your dog has needs or challenges that cannot be appropriately addressed through his services, he will be transparent with you and make every effort to provide appropriate referrals.
The goal is always to help your dog receive the care and training that best meets their needs, even if that care is provided by another professional.

Tim serves Altadena, Pasadena, Glendale, Montrose, Tujunga, Burbank, and surrounding communities. Travel fees may apply for locations outside of the primary service area. These fees and service arrangements are discussed on a case by case basis.

Private training is generally $120 per hour, whether training takes place in the home or in a public setting. A small travel fee may apply for locations outside of the primary service area.
Board and train pricing depends on the dog’s needs, the length of care, and the specific circumstances of the program. Rates generally range from $100 to $175 per day.

Payment plans are not available for hourly training or day training services. For board and train programs, half of the total payment is due upfront, with the remaining balance due when your dog returns home.
